Medco likely to hire dozens of pharmacy grads Pharmacy schools at Butler University and Purdue University played a key role in bringing Medco Health Solutions Inc.'s newest distribution center to Indiana, Medco said Nov. 12. And now, Medco might play a key role in keeping more Purdue and Butler pharmacy grads in-state. When the Franklin Lakes, N.J., company opens its 1,300-worker pharmacy in 2009, it will be just the second large-scale pharmacy in Indiana, along with WellPoint's new PrecisionRx facility at Indianapolis International Airport. Such large-scale pharmacies provide another career avenue for some pharmacy students who, until now, have been forced to move out of state, said Steven R. Abel, assistant dean for clinical programs at Purdue's school of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences.
