BREAKING: Security firm to add 1,100 jobs

	BREAKING: Security firm to add 1,100 jobs Defender Direct, an Indianapolis company that sells and distributes security systems for homes, announced today that it will expand its headquarters and create 1,100 jobs throughout the state. At least 300 of those jobs will be in Indianapolis. The company currently is located at 6100 N. Keystone Ave. The company still is deciding whether to place the balance of the jobs in Indianapolis, Greensburg, Sunman or elsewhere in the state. Defender Direct was founded in 1998. It currently has more than 400 Indiana employees. This story will be updated at www.ibj.com .
